It has an interesting bay covered by pines. Adrasan takes opposite wind by land to sea and thus in years when the wind power was dominant, sailing boats couldn't enter this bay and they established civilization on Olympos, Phaselis and other Antalya harbours. The name of Adrasan comes from Greek and the town is also known as Çavuþ village. Bay’s ground, leaning its back to the Bey Mountains is sandy and its sea is shallow and there aren't any highway in the surrounding. It is full of interesting and natural excellences. For those who are interested in water sports, this place is also a unique circuit.The temperature of sea water is high and season lasts for too long. Its see meets the requirements of underwater photographer with a clear underwater visibility range of 29 meters Adrasan's closed bay has a vast and long beach. You can get into sea from whereever you want. Opposite the bay, Elið of the Musa Mountain attracts attention with its silhouette resembling a camel. Exit the Antalya-Kaþ highway and drive down for 22 km to reach Adrasan. Even if the plane tree at the entrance of the municipality does not attract our attention, you will enter a quite different world while drawing near to the sea parallel to Adrasan River on your left. If the ones who set off in the morning reaches the town after it gets dark, this is even more interesting. While the river side is used for vehicle traffic, car parking facility; you pass to the other side where our premise is located via the chain bridge which is similar to the Ýstanbul Bosphorus Bridge system . Strip bulbs lined up to show the design of both the bridge and the facility creates a different atmosphere. Special lodge terasses built in the Adrasan river, flowing to the sea ambiguously and insatiable ducks swimming around are surprisingly beautiful. Thanks to the special stream of air, weather acts like a natural air conditioner and humidity is diffused. So you don’t feel the melting heat of Antalya along the river. In January and February, the water level of the river increases due to rains. Throughout the rest of the year, Turkish and foreign tourists who want to spend a hot winter, enjoy the variable and energic fresh air. Vacationists encamping under the shadows of monumental plane trees, spend most of their time in garden, terasse, the famous beach of Adrasan and sea. Along the 2 km beach of Adrasan, a district of Kumluca Town, the left side of the bay is called Dere Mevkii. This river whose estuary is in the Tahtalý Mountains shelters fishes such as sea basses, grey mullets and trouts. The hotels and pensions are located in the right side of the bay, this is also the point where the second street joins. There are trekking tracks for those, interested in environment and walking. We supply the materials and other necessary equipments. As this will be your first diving, our diving trainer first informs you about the necessary details and then we start diving. We dive maximum into a depth of 4 or 5 meters. After diving, we evaluate the dive as soon as we get out of water. Generally the first sentence is “Has diving always been so easy?...” The aim of test diving is to show people that diving is actually an easy activity. It’s easy because its rules are very strict. Everything done during diving is learned as a result of the past diving experiences. These rules are the same throughout the world and applied in the same way. Sign language under water is standard. When you dive with a person from another country, you speak the same language in these blue depths. If you also want to get a certificate to strengthen your joy, you should attend a star diving course. With this certificate, you document that you are a diver and you have a right for skin diving (scuba diving) whereever you go. Now world seas and beauties are waiting for you. Which kinds of fishes can be found in Adrasan? The fishes you will like caching according to seasons are: leer fish, amberjack, dogtooth grouper, sea breams, albacore, atlantic bonito, skipjack tuna, baraccuda (brushteeth lizardfish), seabass and garfish. Leer fish, amberjack and dogteeth grouper will carry you away. What is the method of fishing? We set off for fishing early in the morning. First we catch atlantic bonito, horse mackerel or garfish with the rapalas you have or we give you. And in the meantime we have our breakfast accompanied by the unique landscape of Adrasan and drink our coffees or tees. We cath fishes with backpulling method until we find the suitable crib fishes. We go on like this until 9 o’clock. When we find the suitable crib fishes, without paying attention to what time it is we start to catch leerfish and amberjack with our big fishing lines using these crib fishes as alive baits. On the basis of our past experiences, we wait for the excellent moment when the fishes meet with our fishing lines in the right hunting areas. If you are lucky and there is plenty of leerfish on that day, it is impossible to desribe the joy and excitement you will have. Of course this is not the only method for fishing, we have other methods depending on the season, day, kinds of fish and region especially to cath barracuda and sea bream. The main goal of our fishing tours is to catch big fishes as leerfishes and amberjacks. We go fishing tours with our small fibre boat and the boat of Deepfishing as a team. If the number is higher than normal, we rent a bigger boat in addition to ours. You can either attend the daily boat tours sailing from Adrasan beach and see the various beautiful coasts or we can fix you a special boat so that you can tour with your family and friends between 5-15 people. Just tell us what you want. There are two options for those who want to attend the daily boat tours from Adrasan. The first one is in the direction of Gelidonya Cape and Beþadalar where American oceonagraphist George Bas works on a Phoenician submerged which sank 3300 years ago. The other is in the opposite direction of the first one, to the Sazak, Potro Ceneviz bays’ tours. Let’s go to the one on the Gelidonya Cape to the Suluada first. Our first stop is Suluada. Although this is a small island, there is a water source which stays cold both in winter and summer it. This water is said to be useful for patients who have renal calculus. This island is also the shelter of Mediterranean seals (also known as sea lion). Fishers claim that they see seals living in colonies especially in winters. Throughout your journey, dolphins accompany you even if from a distance. After nearly half an hour, the boat ancors in the colourful beach, composed of tiny white pebbles, across the other side of Suluada. You find yourself in the very heart of the nature in this beach in which 3-4 boats anchors everyday. With your snorcel and glasses you can dive into water and overcome your wonder and by swimming from beach to boat and vice versa you whet your appetite. At noon, the crew of the boat starts preparations for lunch. The smells of fishes, chicken, meat are mixed in the air. Breads are sliced, season salads are prepared, lemons are cut into two, golden potatoes are fried. At this moment you get out of water with your skin dealt out of densely salted water, streched like a drum skin and tanned, and you get cool on the boat sitting and relaxing. You fill your plate with foods prepared, have a cold drink and start to eat on the boat swinging like a cradle. You know that you will not have such pleasure in 5 star hotels and you close your eyes thinking that this is the real holiday. At the end of the lunch, the sea becomes an aquarium because of the fishes gathering to eat the crumbs you throw to the sea. In the afternoon, you have a chance to benefit from hot sand cure in the sandy regions. The boats, having taken the anchors inboard, go further parallel to left of the Suluada to a tunnel which can be passed through only by rowing boats. This amazing surprise of the nature displays the relationship between the rocks and the sea. The ones who can go across the other side of the island when the sea is calm, reach the water source and write down their names on the rocks all around. Another stop “Kelleci Bay” is situated at the opposite side of the Suluada. It is possible to see fresh water resources draining from rocks in this bay which is often visited by yachts. In these stops, after getting into water from the grit beach, cold watermelons that are sliced on boat are eaten. At 6 o’clock the boats start to return bu if you want, you can swim in the sea for the last time at the entrance of Adrasan Bay. Because of the scorching effect of the salty water, sunlights reflection from the sea even under shadow and warm wind, you can get bronzed in one day or at least you may redden a little bit at the end of these trips. In the second option, Adrasan is the sailing point again but this time the direction is towards Antalya. The first stop is a very interesting fiord, not known by many people. This place is called “Gemleyik” and sea creates a loch in a shape of “s”. There is a very amusing beach next to this natural miracle which is ideal for hiding and escaping. Beside a blue phosphorus cave which is big enough for boats to turn inside is situated in the same region. Once you have crossed this cave under water, you reach to Sazak Bay after 40 minutes. This bay is called “Balayý Bay” which is a natural harbor where the boats rest. The bay at the other side of the peninsula is called “Porto Ceneviz”. In tours organized in this rotation, you can again swim, have your lunch and feel the generousity of the nature inside and then return to Adrasan. OLYMPOS AND ÇIRALI They are in the west part of Antalya between Kemer and Adrasan. After passing Phaselis on the Antalya-Kumluca highway, signposts leading to Olympos and Cirali will be seen and Olympos can be reached by following either route. Cirali is the name of the village near Olympos, which was a port city established in the 2nd century and which continued to flourish until the 15th century A.D. The famous myth of Bellerophontes is said to have taken place here. The antique city is on two sides of a beautiful valley. A sandy beach is found where the town and the valley meet the sea, into which a mountain stream flows. An hour's walk from Olympos brings you to the natural phenomenon of Cirali. Known by the local inhabitants as the " burning mountain " (Yanartas), it is a result of escaping natural gas, whose flames have been shooting heavenwards for centuries. It is suggested that those who wish to visit the Yanartas for the first time should be accompanied by someone from the village. PHASELIS OAdrasan is full of tracks, suitable for trekking and free climbing. Thanks to climate of Antalya, you will take long walks in appropriate weather conditons as if it is spring in the trekking tours we organize especially in winters. Sazak bay (trekking): This is the most enjoyable and easiest walking track. The length of track is totally 16 km. We walk on dirt road among aromatic pine trees watching the sea. You can see the most beautiful bays of Adrasan from the land. This route takes you to Sazak Bay after walking for two and a half hour at normal pace. You can swim in the vast shore of Sazak Bay and relax. Our second choice related with this track is to take you to the Sazak Bay first by means of boats and then start walking from there. Gelidonya beacon (trekking): In the first track we reach Mavikent Kesebaþý with cars. On the line, where to a point you can drive your car, we start to walk among olive trees upwards in natural environment and reach the Gelidonya beacon. We eat what we have in our lunch boxes and have a rest accompanied by glorious landscape. We complete our tour easily by walking downwards the route back. In the second track (the difficult one) we start walking from Adrasan, surmount the hills covered with pine trees and reach Gelidonya beacon after 4.5 hours. Olympos (trekking and climbing): In this region the first Olympos, founded on the peak of Musa Mountain on 170 acres can be seen on the Fethiye-Antalya-Lykia track after walking for nearly 2.5 hours. Among the ruins, cisterns, city gate, small theatre, two storey villas, remnants of archs are waiting to be revealed. The other side of Olympos looks on Adrasan plain. According to findings of Austrian archaeologists, “Teo Olympos” inscribed on the stones means “Olympos for God”. Only “OLYM” letters can be read from the remnants of these stones. As a result of various raids, the inhabitants of the Olympos came to the place, which we call Olympos now. For this reason the real Olympos is said to be on the peak of Musa Mountain. Two castles built in Adraianos period with the aim of observing can still be seen. Musa Mountain (free climbing): If you come to Adrasan, you should climb the Musa Mountain at the entrance of the bay. This is a difficult free climbing track. Before starting climbing we advise you not to wear shorts because of the thorns and bushes and to wear comfortable trousers or sweatsuits and gloves to be able to hold the rocks whose edges are really sharp. When you reach the peak after climbing for nearly 2.5 hours, you will find out that it is worth to struggle. Adrasan is at your feet, and the wind sings songs about the beauties of Adrasan. If you are driving your own car, you drive in the direction of Kemer from Antalya. Once you have passed Kemer and Tekirova, you will see the signs Olympos and Çavuþköy (Adrasan) on your left. Take the asphalt road full of turns and covered with pine trees. After driving for 15 km, you will reach the Olympos turnout but don’t turn and go straight, and you will reach the gendarme center. If you turn left and drive for 2 km, you will see a plane tree and a mosque. Turn left for the last time and drive by the river bank for a while and then you will see our facilities. If you're coming with bus, you will see “Adrasan Tur” in the towns’ terminal building next to the Antalya Terminal. In summers, they organize services 3 times a day. If you are coming with “Adrasan Tur”, just tell the driver where you would like to get off when you reach Adrasan, he will help you. If you miss these buses, you can take the half-hourly bus services organized by “Çiçek tur” but you should get off at Olympos- Adrasan (Cavuskoy) turnout and get on hourly bus services organized by Adrasan tur.
